March 17, 2019 -- Indian Wells, CA

On a beautiful Sunday afternoon, Roger took the court to face Austrian, Dominic Thiem in the finals of the BNP Paribas Open, looking to win his 6th title in Indian Wells. After an electric Women's Final, the Men's Final did not disappoint and was just as thrilling. 

With both players battling hard and playing strong, the match went to a deciding third set where Roger looked to have the upper hand looking to break for the match. But the Austrian was not done and came out firing holding his serve and going on to break Roger to serve for the match. With his blistering groundstrokes, Thiem held on to take the match and win his first Masters 1000 Tournament, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5

“I'm happy for Dominic, winning his first Masters 1000, as well. It's a massive event to win,” Roger said. “I just got my 100th in Dubai, and I had a good week here. Really, there is no reason to get down. Plus there is more to look forward to in Miami.”

Next up for Roger will be the Miami Open where he will be the fourth seed and looking for his fourth title there.

"The body is perfectly fine. That also always keeps me upbeat, and I feel it's a privilege when I feel this way leaving a tournament,” Roger said. “I have been playing every single day for the past three weeks. I can be very happy and proud of that fact. I feel really good, so why shouldn't I go into the tournament and to the event confident?”

March 16, 2019 -- Indian Wells, CA

Fans in Indian Wells were ready to watch a highly anticipated 39th meeting between two of this sports greats today: Federer vs. Nadal.

However, unfortunately due to a nagging knee issue, Rafael Nadal pulled out just before the start of the first semifinal match.

Roger advances to another final at the BNP Paribas Open looking to capture his 101st ATP title. Roger will be looking to capture his 6th title here. He plays the winner of Dominic Thiem and Milos Raonic on Sunday before heading to Miami. 

March 15, 2019 -- Indian Wells, CA

37-year old, Roger Federer, competed in his 83rd Masters 1000 Series Quarterfinal today in front of a packed crowd in the desert sun.

He faced the less experienced, Hubert Hurkacz in what seemed to be a routine match to progress to his 12th semifinals in Indian Wells.

Roger won 6-4, 6-4 and awaits the winner of the matchup between Rafael Nadal and Karen Khachanov.

"At this stage of the tournament, you have to bring your best game," Roger said. "I'm very excited to be in the semis here. Not that I didn't expect it, but it definitely went better than I thought it would."

March 13, 2019 -- Indian Wells, CA

Roger remains steady with his play in the desert as seeds continue to drop from the BNP Paribas Open.

Taking the court just a day after top ranked Novak Djokovic lost, Roger took care of business against Kyle Edmund in his Round of 16 match.

Roger needed just an hour to capture his 65th win at Indian Wells, 6-1, 6-4. Having won this tournament 5 times before, it was clear today the Swiss Star is feeling comfortable on these courts as he only allowed Edmund to see 3 break points.

He faces young Polish player, Hubert Hurkacz, next who took out Denis Shapovalov.

March 12, 2019 -- Indian Wells, CA Roger took to the courts tonight in Indian Wells against fellow country-man, Stan Wawrinka in front of a packed house for the first match of the evening at the BNP Paribas Open. With a quick break in the first set, Roger remained in control on the gritty courts at the Indian Wells Tennis Gardens and looked confident dictating against big hitting Wawrinka. The second set was much of the same with Roger stepping into the court and controlling the points. He won 6-3, 6-4 and will face Kyle Edmund next.
