After losing his first match in London against Kei Nishikori, Roger took the court at the O2 Arena ready to get a win under his belt.
Facing Dominic Thiem, Roger looked ready for a win from the very first point. He beat Thiem 6-2, 6-3 as his aggressive and dominant play over the young Austrian keeps his semifinal hopes alive.
Next up for Roger is Kevin Anderson, who is the only undefeated player in the Lleyton Hewitt Group. Roger has won four of the five of their last meetings.

In a thrilling Quarterfinal matchup at the Rolex Paris Masters, Roger took the court against the always tough Novak Djokovic in hopes of getting one step closer to his 100th title.
The Serbian stepped onto the court with 21 straight wins under his belt as he put the pressure on Roger right from the start blasting back answers for every shot the Swiss number 2 player had.
Djokovic beat Roger in a thrilling 3rd set 7-6(6), 5-7, 7-6(3) and will return to the top spot on the ATP Rankings for the first time in two years. Unfortunately, based on points, it does not look like Roger will be able to take the number 1 spot as the 2018 season comes to a close.
Roger will be competing at the Nitto ATP Finals which take place in London next week. He is in the Lleyton Hewitt group along with Kevin Anderson, Kei Nishikori and Dominic Thiem. Play begins on November 11th and Roger will face Kei Nishikori in his first match.

Roger played his first match today against Fabio Fognini at the Rolex Paris Masters. While neither looked to be playing lights out tennis, Roger did what he needed to find enough of a rhythm to advance to the Quarterfinals. Winning 6-4, 6-3, Roger now has a 4-0 record against the Italian player.
"I think both of us were far from our best, but we fought with what we had and at the end I think I maybe served a bit better in the important moments than Fabio did. Off the baseline, it was tough. He takes the ball early and can really redirect really well. But I’m very happy because it means I’m moving on in the tournament."
With 27 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles under his belt, the Swiss Star is looking to win his 100th title here in Paris.

Roger finds himself already into the Round of 16 at the Rolex Paris Masters 1000 today without even having played a single match. He received a walkover win from Canadian Milos Raonic today. The walkover puts him against the always feisty Italian, Fabio Fognini, who he will face on Thursday.
Rafael Nadal also withdrew from the tournament on Wednesday.
